Mama's story about Lillian in the storm
When I was a girl, Mama cautioned us about thunderstorms and lightning, and she told several times how Lillian once took shelter under a tree in a storm and lightning hit the tree. She and Lillian were about the same age. Lillian survived of course but lost part of her heel I understand. Anyhow that story was enough to keep me from ever trusting a tree in a storm.
I don't need to tell you what a great lady she was for your know that. I didn't see her very often but she was always sweet to me. You all were blessed to have her, and also your dad.
